I just started college, 800 miles away from a home i haven’t been away from for more then 2 weeks. I didnt know anyone going in, but have made a lot of friends. Im on full scholarship, a couple girls like me, and im making very good grades. Im also doing research, intramural tennis, and making plans to travel to china next year. Everything seems great.But deep down i really dont care. I dont really feel for any of these people, i should be falling head over heels for one of these cute girls (like i did at home), I should be homesick, I should be glowing about my success so far, but i dont feel anything. Im not sad or depressed, I just dont feel much for anything right now. Is it because my emotions are in shock from such a random transition? The only thing that im worried about or really care about is how pervasive this apathy isAny advice or testimonials would be appreciatedim not feeling suicidal in the least. And intellectual i know what has to be done and im doing it, I just dont have an emotional drive
